A wine a day (for a week)

No, it's not a diet. Usually it's my life. More or less.

Monday. Albino Armani "Terre di Gioia" Sauvignon Blanc Grave del Friuli Doc, 2008. A fruity Sauv blanc, finally - enough with cat pee or green pepper! Peach and apricot, juicy and drinkable. A good start for the week.

Tuesday. Casaretti az.agricola "Bardolino Classico 2012". A nice Bardolino - the typical friendly wine of Lake of Garda - with a bright red in the glass, a nose of sweet small red fruits and a mouth of sweet spices - (cinnamon, cloves) in a long final

Wednesday. Cantina "Valpolicella" di Negrar "Vigneti di Moron 2003" Recioto della Valpolicella Doc. This a champion in its category. A delicious sweet (though not too much!) wine, velvety, with a rich bouquet of scents and flavors - cherry liqueur, cocoa, plum, raisin, violet, chocolate, a nuance of coffee - and a smooth taste with an aftertaste almost endless...

Thursday. Villa Crespia "Numero Zero" Franciacorta Doc. Maybe is this the future of Franciarcorta? No sugar, just finesse. A promising experiment. This sparkling with Chardonnay 100% is floral and austere. Definetely, not a wine for toasts - but for meals

Friday. Cantina di Montecchia di Crosara "Saxi" Lessini Durello Doc. Another sparkling wine, a long charmat with the native grape durella grown on the volcanic hills of Verona and Vicenza. Slightly floral and salty, it is ideal for aperitifs and light meals.

Saturday. Santa Margherita "Impronta del Fondatore 2010" Malbec, Lison Pramaggiore Doc. Did you know that Malbec can be from Veneto (Italy) - and not only from Argentina? No? Well, now you know it. This is a drinkable one, fruity and correct. Nothing special, but good.

Sunday. Feudo Cavaliere "Millemetri 2010" Etna Rosato Doc. Ah, Etna. What a good memory I have! Landscapes, the wild nature of the volcano, the black and grey soils, colors, foods, wines, people and... scents.Everywhere. Fruity, floral, balsamic, marine... In this rosè from the southern part of the Etna appellation I find everything, particularly the nuances of wild herbs and flowers of the wood owned by Margherita Platania... A wine very elegant, well balanced and fresh.

Ok, that's all for my week. What about yours?
